Q: I just bought the digital edition of Euro Truck Simulator 2 online. When do I receive the "Product Key" (activation number) allowing me to play the full version of the game?
A: If you paid with your credit card or through PayPal, the Product Key should had been sent immediately to your e-mail address. (You can also see the Key right on the purchase confirmation screen) If it doesn't arrive in an hour, please check your spam folder and make sure you provided the correct e-mail address. Also, verify that the transaction completed successfully and there were enough funds on your account to finish the purchase. In case you opted for a bank transfer, it will take some time before the payment is processed. Usually, it takes 3 to 5 days - you will receive a confirmation e-mail together with the key as soon as our e-commerce provider registers your payment. Q: How many times can I re-install the game using the same product key?
A: As many times as needed. The number of activations is not limited, providing you have got a valid Product Key.

Q: My game failed to activate, what should I do?
A: As of update 1.3, we have introduced Product Key validation step into the activation process. The Product Key you enter is going to be sent for verification at SCS Software's validation server. This step is normally invisible to the user and takes only a few seconds. However, in case that your firewall refuses the connection you may need to allow the game to connect to the Internet. If you cannot or do not want to connect the computer where you are playing the game to the Internet, we have an alternate way to validate the Product Key using a one-time procedure. Q: What languages are included in the digital edition of Euro Truck Simulator 2?
A: The digital edition is translated to English, Česky, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, Español, Euskera, Français, Hrvatski, Magyar, Italiano, Lietuviškai, Nederlands, Norsk (bokmål), Polski, Português (Brasil), Português (Portugal), Română, Русский, Slovensky, Slovenščina, Srpski, Српски, Svenska, Suomi, Ślōnskŏ gŏdka, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe, Українська, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文(中国大陆,新加坡), 繁体中文(台湾,香港,澳门). And we plan to add more languages with game updates.

Q: The game fails to start or it shows decidedly broken graphics. What can I do?
A: First of all, please update your video card drivers. If it still doesn't help, open the Windows Start menu in the bottom left corner of your desktop, select All Programs -> Euro Truck Simulator 2 -> Troubleshooting, and try running OpenGL and DirectX options in turn. You may also try the "Safe mode" option as the last resort, which will reset the graphics settings in game to minimum. Then, if the game launches successfully, you can adjust the video settings manually through "Advanced settings" to what you believe is a safe setup. If none of these options work, the sad conclusion is that your computer is simply unable to support the game. Please, check that your PC meets the minimum system requirements and in case you pass, try sending us a bug report (see below).

Q: I have got a high performance notebook with NVidia chipset, but Euro Truck Simulator 2 runs poorly on it. Why is that?
A: Chances are that your notebook sports two video chips. Vendors often pair integrated Intel chipsets with more powerful NVidia or ATI chipsets in order to save battery power when running less graphics-demanding applications. Older graphics drivers may use the low performance video option by default when running the game. You can open the control panel of the more powerful video card (NVidia Settings or ATI Control Panel) and explicitly request its use for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (in "Manage 3D Settings"). Alternatively, you may attempt to update the video drivers altogether; recent drivers should recognize ETS2 a use the more powerful graphics chip automatically.

Q: The game crashes, stutters, or hinders my progress; what should I do?
A: You should write to our support. Please, describe the issue as much as possible. Also, open your Documents -> Euro Truck Simulator 2 folder and attach game.log and game.crash files to your report, as well as compressed "profile" folder if possible. Q: Can I use cheats in the game?
A: Cheats are disabled in non-testing releases of the game. In order to provide the best demo possible, we let you experience all features of the full version as the game unwinds for a decent period of time. Cheats would have allowed anyone to advance too quickly to latter stages of the game which are supposed to be unreachable in the demo regime.
